When scanning an area for a lamb, sometimes we have to get down on all fours and follow the footprints of the tiny argali.

Even though the argali are endangered species, they are still being hunted legally throughout Mongolia.

Trying to get close to the argali is quite a challenge. So I was thrilled when I was able to take a picture from this close.

It's baby season here at the site, notice the one week old colt being protected from the other horses in the community.

This momma sheep goes over to her baby who has been tied up so that it dosen't wander too far and become a snack for the many wolves of the area. The big maroon thing behind them is the permanent storage container for the project here. We are still trying to figure out how they got it here!
