SUPPORTING MATERIALS Classroom Activities, Lessons and Documents Glovebox Fun - A glovebox is a small box with gloves attached that fit toward the inside of the box. It is designed to help astronauts conduct experiments without all their items floating around in space. Students can practice with their own glovebox units and get an idea of what it is like to work in this way. To see how it works view the lesson album page. This activity and others like it prepare students for discovering how astronauts do their work in space. Space Station Models - students love to build models. In this activity teams of 2nd and 6th grade students work together to build their own model space station. At the end of the project teams will talk with a partner school across the country via video-conference and share what they have made. Sample projects can be seen on the lesson album page.
