TeachLive is an experiential teaching and learning model designed to provide field-based opportunities to teachers in order to engage students in real science. Experience is the best way to gain understanding. A frequently asked question is "Why did you become interested in working with field research in this capacity?" My answer is simple: by experiencing the research firsthand I am better able to understand, and thereby convey to others, practical application of instructional material - how they will use the things they learn in school.

Doesn't every student ask, "How am I going to use this in my life?"

Now I can respond to that question because I have learned the answer myself.
